The mission of the library media center is to implement, enrich and support the educational program within the school. Its purpose serves to assist all students in aquiring the skills, and attitudes that will promote sound character, responsible citizenship, intellectual proficiency, and personal fullfillment in our ever-changing society.
The Stanhope Elmore Library Media Center maintains a modern collection with an emphasis in the area of STEM. Students can browse and explore updated materials in science, technology, engineering and math. Students are encouraged to conduct research on various topics, both digital and in print.
The Media Specialists host classes that teach students how to properly conduct research and utilize the materials available to them. STEM Cafes, meetings in which a small group of students interested in STEM meet with STEM professionals, are held throughout the year to introduce and engage students in the development in these fields.
The media center also houses materials and resources for staff and students that are readily available for use.
